Wildfires and Sunsets

Hi everybuddy!

I just wanted to thank you all for your crossed paws for Sisfur Abby last week. We still don’t have the bye-op-see back yet but she seems to be doing pretty good. She’s not eating all that great but hopefully she’ll gets back to her normal self real soon!

Now, you may have heard abouts all the fires (at least 10!) burning in Collie-rado. (If not, click here for a Most Informative story and video about it.)

Well, one of these is burning in our very own city!

Don’t worry…we are SAFE and not in any danger at all. But there sure are a lotta peoples and furries who are. So please bow your heads and cross your paws for them and for the brave men and women who are fighting this fire for us.

But like mom always says, even in hard times, there’s always hope and beauty if you just look for it. Our sunset last night through all the smoke was proof of that – and we wanted to share some of the pictures mom took with you. (You can click any of these to biggify, if you want.)

Sending you all lotsa luv! We hope your day is beautiful!

Mayzie, fires are real scary. We were evacuated a few years ago! We couldn’t go home for 3 days. Mom didn’t think we were going to have a home to go back to, but fortunately we did. Put alot into perspective, thats what mom said.

  6. Mayzie we have had you all and all of the beings in your city in our prayers. Those are certainly some amazing sunsets!

We have been following this on the news and were very much worried about YOU. THANK GOODNESS YOU are all SAFE… and we have our paws crossed for those effected.

  10. So scary and so beautiful. About 10 years ago, on the first anniversary of my father’s death, I took my then dogs on a very early morning hike. There was a big fire burning east of us and the wind was blowing the smoke down the ridge of the mountains that morning. The sunrise was so eerily beautiful – all pinks and oranges. Also a coyote followed us. You know who I thought that was! It was a special morning.

    Stay safe!

  11. We live in Colorado too, (the Denver metro area). It is so scary to see all of these fires. I wish it would cool down and we would get some rain to help everybody out. Stay safe and cool!
