A Sunday Hike

Hey everybuddy! Guess what we did on Sunday? We drove around in the mountains cuz mom and dad wanted to scout out some camping places. Okay, that part wasn’t too terribly exciting but THEN we got to go for a hike!

I was super duper excited but dad was taking FOREVER to gets everything ready and I thought we were NEVER gonna get to go!

After abouts 87 million minutes, he was finally ready and off we went.

Now, you’d think we’d have a lotta pictures but, well, my mom forgot her fancy schmancy camera so all she had was her phone that doesn’t take such too awfully wonderful pictures. The worst part is that I had told her to remember to bring her fancy schmancy camera but she STILL forgot! Can you believes it? She always seems to have it around when I’m sleeping but somehow forgets it when we’re doing stuff I actually want her to take pictures of. Yeesh!

Anyways, here’s a couple of the ones she DID take to give you an idea of the Most Marvelous time we had.

Here’s a pretty little pond with Pikes Peak in the background.

Here are some super cool rocks.

Here’s Brudder Ranger telling us how he “approves of the hike whole-heartedly.”

Here’s me being happy during the hike.

And here’s me being happy after the hike!

It sure was fun and I wish every single one of you coulda been there with me!

PeeS. We’re SO very sorry we haven’t been around to visit much lately. Mom’s had a bad case of the busy brain, what with starting her business and all. But I promise I’m gonna make her make time to visit real soon!

  1. Miss Mayzie,
I fear that busy brain sometimes becomes a permanent condition. My momma reads without commenting more often than not these days which is ever so frustrating for my large and wanting to be social self.

I am loving that total happy face picture of you.

  2. Oh my dogs that was one fine Dogday on Sunday. It was good to hear your excited voices too. Tell Mom we think her cell phone pictures are spectacular and we thank her for taking them so we could share the beautiful scenery.
    Hugs from your BFFF,

That was a fantastic hike….lots of great stuff to investigate and sniff. And you’re right it always takes THEM ages to get started on walks and stuff. Also, the flashy box is NEVER ready for the really great stuff we do. We would have loved to be with you.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & roxy

  4. Oh Heck Miss Mayzie…around here the flashie beast is an afterthought. If we had a dollar for every time the muzzer sais “ohhhhh, aren’t they (cute, fiesty, sweet, etc.) we could hire a real photographer to follow us around.

The pictures you momma did get are great. Teka’s fave is the one of Brudder Ranger looking brave and stalwart, and I like the happy faces ones.

Those are great photos. Your mom must have a really good phone! It’s great to see you and Brudder Ranger having such a good time. You got bars in your car?! Are those supposed to protect you, or keep you out of the front seat?
