Rescue Me Week, Day 2 – Precious

Ohmidogness! I am just flabbergastified by all my furends who wrote abouts Adorable Adoptables yesterday! I knew that pet bloggers were the best in the whole world but you Most Definitely proved it!

We have dogs, cats, a bird AND even a goat who are looking for their furever homes. If you look over to the right there, you’ll see a list of everybuddy who pawticipated yesterday. Be sure and go check ’em out if you haven’t already. (Oh, and if you pawticipated but you don’t see your name, be sure to lets me know, okay?)

If you’re pawticipating today, remember to leaves me a comment or send me an email to mayziegal AT with your linkie. And remember, we’re doing this all week so it’s not too late to join in if you haven’t already. Click the badgie below to learn how!

Okay, now I would like to introduce you to Precious.

Precious is extra special to us for TWO reasons. 1) She’s a Rat Terrier like Brudder Ranger and 2) she’s at Second Chance Animal Rescue Foundation (in Collie-rado), which is the rescue I came from!

Here’s part of what they have to say abouts her on her Petfinder page:

Precious is a purebred rat terrier about 5 years old. She is house and crate trained, good with older kids, seems fine with cats and is good with other dogs.

Precious’ family fell apart and she was subjected to being in a crate or camper trailer while her owner is away at work 12 hours a day, six days a week. Precious needs slow introductions and a good routine in her life. Because of all the upheaval in her life she is fearful of new things and people. However, she is sweet and pretty easy going.

She likes to snuggle on the couch and even acts like she is watching the TV sometimes! We think she would do best in a home with a woman or smaller family with more quiet and not rambunctious kids.

Moderate energy level, sometimes a wiggle wart, always fun and sometimes comical. (She is a ‘bird watcher’ and when she sees them on the line will trot back and forth under the line/bird ‘talking to it’ — not a bark, but a rawowoww owwww little conversation. Course the bird is oblivious and completely non- responsive, but she gives the bird a ‘what for’.)

If you or someone you know would luv to gives Precious the furever home she deserves, be sure to check out her Petfinder page and tell ’em Mayzie sent you!
