Hi, hi, everybuddy! It’s here! Rescue Me Week is here!
If you haven’t heard of it before, click on that pretty badgie down there to learn all about it. If you pawticipate, you’ll be helping find homes for adoptable pets AND could pawsibly win $100 for the rescue of your choice! Neat, huh?
Anyways, today we wanna feature JEFFY! (If you click on that linkie, you have to click Jeffy’s tab-thingie to get to him.)
Mom fell in luvs with him the first time she saw his picture cuz he looks so very much like my sisfur Abby.
Jeffy’s at the Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (up the road from us in a place called Woodland Park). Jeffy’s not only adorable…he’s very, very special cuz he’s got something called Radial Hypoplasia which makes his front leggies super short. Here is what the peoples at TCRAS say abouts him:
Jeffy, 3, is very sweet and loves to be scratched and patted. His condition doesn’t really require special care. He keeps himself very well groomed, eats and uses his litter box. He just isn’t going to do well in a house with a lot of competition, where he will feel nervous.
These cats have been called Twisty Cats, Kangaroo Cats and Squittens. Jeffy is a neutered male tabby who has a congenital defect that results in shortened, malformed front legs. He can get around, but he is aware that his defenses are limited and this makes new situations so very stressful for him.
Jeffy is a glossy coated, loving cat with some mobility issues. He walks on his permanently bent front legs, but would be just fine in a calm home. Jeffy would be a quiet, affectionate companion.
If you or anybuddy you know is interested in adopting ah-mazing Jeffy, check out the TCRAS website!
PeeS. Remember, if you’re pawticipating, either leaves me a comment here or sends me an email to mayziegal AT gmail.com. And be sure to gives me the linkie to your postie, okay?
