Saturday Smiley: One Kiss at a Time

This nice lady named Jennifer Fimmano made this super great video for the StubbyDog Project as her senior thesis at Elizabetown College. Mom and I think it’s Most Wonderful.

A beautiful and informative video. We don’t know any ‘pit bulls’ but we know lots and lots of staffys, they’re terrific dogs.

  2. We know a nice lady who owns a lovely Pitbull X called Bruno. He is a beautiful, well trained dog who never stops wagging his tail and is friendly. Sadly, because other people have treated their Pitbull terriers badly and made them become aggressive Bruno’s owner B. worries all the time if he will be taken away. You see, the breed is banned in Britain, unless you have a licence and stuff (we not sure which stuff). Our hooman feels sad that a few dogs (who have done harm) have tarnished attitudes to ALL Pitbulls. If you see what we mean?

I agree with the speakers in the film, it is a kind of racism/prejudice.

    Hector, Bonny and Lucy too!

PeeS: Thanks for the tip on xanax. Mom will make sure to try it on a non storm day first!

  4. That is a great video and we hope it gets passed around a lot. The Pit Bull has really gotten a bad rap. There are bad dogs in every breed. And they are really bad dogs, they just got a bad start or were mistreated and lost their trust. This is great how you are getting the word out Mayzie that they really are super dogs.

  5. That is wonderful. I have to tell you what Blog Mom saw yesterday (no photo – sadly). Walking up our street was a Mom with a stroller with baby and very little girl walking with her and they had two doggies. One was a fluffy little dog and the other was a pibble looking one. The Mom had the fluffy little dog on the leash and the very little girl was holding the leash of the pibble, who was walking so nicely for her. Blog Mom did soooo wish she had a camera for that.

    Hey Mayzie!
Wow, great video! I love this. Wouldn’t it be nice if the press would pick this up and play it for the world to see?!? Love the smoochie pix at the end. Great stuff.
    Grr and Woof,
    Sarge, COP

  7. Miss Mayzie…thank yous.

We sent it to a friend who has a daughter who runs a rescue in the 9th ward in NOLA.

See how complex relationships get when you are really old like the Muzzer??

  8. Awesome video, Mayzie! People need toknow how wonderful pibbles are!

  9. Sam

What a great video! All the pit bulls I’ve ever known have been sweet, lovable clowns. I think it’s the owners that are dangerous – my Dad used to say that before you are allowed to own one, you should take a test of some sort and have to pass it. A bad owner makes a bad dog, but a good owner will unlock the potential that these dogs have.

Grrrrreat Video… it needs to be circulated!!!

  11. The OP Pack

Jennifer did a great job with her video. It’s all in the raising and loving and training – the breed really doesn’t change anything.

    Happy Saturday.

Excellent PSA! One of the doggie’s mama grew up with was a Dane-Pitty mix. He was a WONDERFUL doggie with a sweet, gentle temperament.
