Saturday Smiley: Workin’ Like a Dog

Between you and me, I’m glad I don’t know all these tricks. I don’t think I’d wanna work this hard!

  1. That is one smart pup, Mayzie. So are you, you use your bootiful self to get the treats, without doing any tricks. 😉

    Woofs,
    Pepsi

  2. That’s REALLY clever…..but I agree with Pepsi that you are very smart too.

    Have a lovely weekend

    Love and licks, Winnie

  3. That puppy looks a little like you. I think you should work on those tricks. Why? Because they include access to the cold box where all the noms are.

    Slobbers,
    Mango

  4. Daisy

We’re tired just looking at that dog. There must be an easier way to get treats!

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

  5. Wow! Me and Teka have an agreement. We don’t do tricks. But we might make an exception for the ‘fridgerator one

This video reminded me of one of the first dogs I rescued. He was abused and abandoned, but like your dog in the video, when you provide consistent leadership for your dog, and couple it with strong motivation, in this case food reward., your dog will do anything to please and make you happy. Bravo!

  7. Wow…what a good girl. 🙂

  8. We agree totally with Pepsi. Besides that dog never did shut the Fridge door. It was a pretty smart dog though and it did look like a lot of work. Hope you all have a fun week end.

  9. That’s a very hard working dog, Mayzie. In fact, I think we might need to take a little nap just from watching that.

  10. miss mayzie,

wow, that little lady sure works hard! she knows her stuff! i wonder if she makes house calls cuz i sure could go for a pepsi…no wait…an orange soda, i mean. teeheehee. 😀

  14. I wouldn’t wanna work so hard too.. hehehhee.. i am just another lazy curly. I love my snooze and noms only. Maybe its because my hooman loves her snooze and noms too… oh oh.. i think she is all to blame 😀

    woofs n licks,
    Dommy

pees.. i am actually quite intelligent.. if only SHE’ll take the time to teach me things…

  15. The OP Pack

Imagine how well that pup must sleep at night:) We would be exhausted – that looks like the kind of job that a Mom should be doing – BOL. But we can see how helpful that pup could be to a disabled person. Another great Saturday video with Mayzie.

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

  16. I think training your humans to do all of that for you would be even more clever! Not that I would know anything about that…

    Bunny

  17. Fern Reed

Mayzie I am on dial up so I can not see video….

  18. littlemissjackie

Thanks for sharing that video, Miss Mayzie! Boy, that doggie sure is smart, and her mom is really smart to teach her all those things! My mom just wants me to learn “Quiet” and I have a hard time with that!

    Barks and Wiggles,

    Jackie

  19. I prefer not to have to work that hard for my nommies! That dog needs to train his people better, BOL!

    Nubbin wiggles,
    Oskar

  20. Hi Mayzie…that is one smart puppy but I agree with you I don’t think I would want to work that hard either. But God bless the folks who train service dogs and the dogs.
    Hugs madi

  21. What a great service doggie!!

    Happy Weekend 🙂

  22. Lorenza

    OMD!

    Happy saturday!
    Kisses and hugs
    Lorenza

  23. Pip

Tricks are over-rated (though this doggie looks VERY smart). I prefer naps!

    Your pal, Pip

  24. What a smarty-pants! But I kept waiting for her to shut the refrigerator door! I am so compulsive….. xo

  25. That is one smart girlie! She reminds us of our Puggle friend, Preston. He’s a very smart boy!

    Love ya lots
    Maggie and Mitch

  26. Sarge

    Hey Mayzie!
Wow, cute video! Those are pretty cool tricks and agree with Mango…any access to the food box is a good thing. Love the double high five at the end.
    Grr and Woof,
    Sarge, COP

  31. We thought we saw you on our walk this morning (before the snow!) Jake even went over to sniff! Though not you, the pretty dog did remind us of our job … believe it or not, we’re making progress!

More soon (or at least eventually, if we’re gonna be totally honest)
    Fergi and Jake and OurMoma

  32. I don’t do tricks either. That is a cool dog, but I prefer keeping my Vickie, unaware of my talents and skills.
    Bert

  33. I know several of those tricks and am working on learning some more since Grammy needs help with a lot of these things. We’ve been offline most of the last week and probably won’t be online much for a while as her health issues have made it a bit too hard for her to spend much time at all on the computer, but we will be thinking of you and might stop in when we can. We are subscribed to you and get you in our emails, which will be one of the few things she will be checking. Thanks for the smiles, Mayzie! The CCC

  34. Crikey! What the heck?! Hope Mom doesn’t see this or she’ll be trying to get US to do that stuff. Ha! Let her TRY!

    The Road Dogs

  35. Jed & Abby in MerryLand USA

We are impressed the doggie can tell the types of drinks apart and bring exactly the one the mom asks for! Next, the mom needs to teach her to close the fridge door. Hope for her sake she never mouths on all that stuff unless the mom especially asks her to.
