Not so Wordless Wednesday: Putting up the tree

Yep, the lights are good to go.

No need to thank us, mom. We're glad to help!

Yarrr! Ye've messed with the lights long enough, wench!

'Tis time fer the decoratin'!

Avast! Unhand me, woman!

Thank you, Mother, for removing Captain Blowhard. Now let's see. Which ornament shall we start with?

Oh, yeah! Put that one on! I LUVS that one!

Carry on, men! I'll just be gettin' me a little shut-eye. Hard to port and straight ahead til mornin'.

I have NO idea what he just said. But I do know I'm simply parched! Did you make this a double?

Well, it looks pretty good from here. But hold on and lets me look at it from a different angle.

I think something's missing, mom.

Okay, Fred. Wake up! You're on!

Here's a kiss for good luck!

What do you means, you're afraid of heights? Get...up...there!

Good job, dad!

Whew! Decorating the tree is hard work! I bet you're glad you had us to help, huh, mom?

PeeS. We just posted a new transport request for Oklahoma – Wisconsin this weekend. Click on the “Transport Requests” link at the top of our bloggie if you can maybe help these baby puppies and their momma get to their foster home.

  1. Wow, we’re first?! Great job of the whole family working together to decorate your tree! You did a beautiful job. They couldn’t have done it without you. And Fred. And there’s lots of room for you and Brudder Ranger to wait for Santa Paws to bring the pressies. Merry Christmas, sweet Mayzie!

    Jed & Abby

  2. Oh wow, you guys are such great helpers!

  3. Daisy

Bet that didn’t take long to put up, with all of you helping! Looks great.

We FINALLY got our tree up today.

Anyways, back to your tree…I just loves dat little Elf at da top…nows dat is neat-o like Spagetti O’s.
Oh and tells your mom dat my mum loves Annie Leibovitz and we is thrilled to see her book at your house! Oh and of course da glass of wine too.

  5. Your tree looks wonderful. I am sure you were a huge help with the ornament placements. I am all about that photo of you standing at attention. What a hard body.

  6. The tree is beautiful, but you and Ranger are the finishing touches! We can’t have a tree because the five monsters would knock it over and one particular monster would eat it… Booo. 🙂 But we’re decorating in other ways, so it’s still Christmas at Pibbles’ house!

  7. Mayzie,

Your tree is beootiful! No doubt your mom and dad couldn’t have done it without all of you helpin’ dems.
I luvs da last picture of you and Brudder Ranger under da tree!

    Woofs and Licks,

  9. M O L……tree decorating means all hands on deck and we are thrilled to see our favorite Pirate Cap’n Ripley took charge.

Oh my Mayzie, Ranger, my Cap’n and Abby your Mom and Dad made you a splendid tree with lots of beautiful ornaments on it.

Mayzie we just visited Jack well done on his gifts…mom and I believe he might be a tad smitten by your beautiful heart!!!
    Hugs Madi and Mom

  10. It is so good you were all there to help, Mayzie. That’s a big tree. They never would have got it done by themselves. What I wonder is how they ever got along without us.

    lotsa licks, Lola

  11. Those are such great pictures of the whole family putting up the tree. Even the kitties got in on the act. That looks like so much fun for all of you. Mayzie you did an excellent job of helping. But then so did everyone. We like the guy at the very top of the tree. Take care and stay warm.

Great JOB on the tree. We know that your assistance was vital to the success of the mission!

We are not quite into the holiday spirit, and muzzer is blaming it on our sissie E.Rabbitt! Muzzer says we will not put any ornaments on the tree until E.Rabbitt comes on Christmas eve! LAME EXCUSE MUZZER.

But Kisses to all of you for a grand job

  18. Whoa … it’s now clear I’ve not visited you guys lately as the thing that most impressed me about this post, Mayzie, is how long your mom’s hair has gotten! Love the tree, but your mom’s hair … WOW! 🙂

  23. You guys are so helpful! We tried to help mommy too but she kept telling us to go lay down. And, she did a horrible job, the bottom of the tree doesn’t have anything on it. Silly Flash likes to knock them off with her nose!

    and Flash too!

  24. You guys did a terrific job with that tree. It is beautiful! And Mayzie, I never noticed that pretty white patch on your neck before! And Happy Belated Barkday to Brudder Ranger!!

  25. Kristine

Our animals were just as “helpful” putting up our tree on the weekend. We couldn’t have done it without them, that’s for sure.

Your tree does look very festive. I love all the different ornaments. So cute!

  26. I don’t think they could have done it without all of your help!

  27. The OP Pack

Wow, that’s a lot of helpers for the tree decorating! We think Fred looks great up there – he looks a lot like “Elfie”, the little elf that the grandbipeds look for every morning at their house – he checks on them for Santa and reports if they have been naughty or nice. Just a heads up to you, Mayzie. Fred could be working undercover for Santa.

Love that shot of you checking out the tree:)

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

  28. I thought there was only one kitty at your house! I didn’t know about the one who doesn’t speak pirate!

    Great job with the tree.

    Nubbin wiggles,

  29. Your tree is coming along beautifully, Mayzie! You guys are having so much fun!

    Love ya lots
    Maggie and Mitch

  30. Mayzie, I totally enjoyed watching you decorate the tree. I don’t know how your mom would ever get the job done without you there to help! We went out to the tree farm and supervised Dad cutting ours down and then made sure it got all set up the right way. It was exhausting! I’m so glad you kept things under control!

  31. Pip

I had to come back and read this again! It was just as funny the second time!

    Your pal, Pip

  32. miss mayzie,

ya’ll are tree decoratin’ PROS! your mama and daddy are totally lucky duckies to have ya’ll around to help. 🙂

    the booker man

pee s — were you chewin’ on mr. fred’s leggie? heehee.

  33. Your tree is pretty, Mayzie! Do I see the corner of Fred’s leg sticking out of your mouth in one of these pics?

Sisfur Abby and Brofur Captain Riley had us laughing! They are polar opposites.

  34. Any AGJ ornaments on that tree?

I mean, I saw plenty of evidence of its khonsumption!

    Great pikhtorial retelling!

  35. littlemissjackie

Miss Mayzie, you all sure did a great job helping your mom and dad, and what a pretty tree! Does your mom put all the possibly chewy or nomable ornaments up high? Dillon nommed one of our boy’s ornaments one year but now he just wags them off the tree with his big old fluffy tail, BOL!

    Festive Barks & Wiggles,

  36. KB

Mayzie, You and your furry friends were a huge help, especially with a kiss for that elf! I’m sure that you helped your mom finish decorating SO much faster! And, you blessed the tree with Mayzie kisses…

  37. That’s just way so much fun! We helped the Mum and Dad put up our tree too and it was fun. Me and Jet helped the Mum wrap some presents the other day too, and we chewed up some tape and then stepped on some wrapping paper and made holes in it and the Mum just laughed at us and gave us bones. They were yummy!

  38. What great helpers. 🙂

  39. SQUEE PUPPIES! and you guys are so very helpful with the Christmas decorations
