Remember my great-mema who came to visit a coupla months ago?
Well, guess what? Today’s her birthday! She’s 88 years young! (Um, I sure hope she doesn’t mind me telling you that.)
And in honor of her birthday, I thought I would tell you a little bits about her.
She was born in a little town in Oak-luh-home-ah. Both her pawrents were school teachers and before she was born, her daddy used to play on the farm team for the Cardinals baseball team.
While she was growing up, she met a boy named E.C. (who later got renamed Papa) and they fell in luvs and got married. And then they had two human pups named Jerry (my grandpa) and Patti (my great-aunt).
They also had all sorts of real doggie-pups along the way, too.
My mema was a school teacher and she taught little human pups music and accounting and how to work a typewriter. She even gots something called a master’s degree! I think that means she’s really smart!
She loves all sorts of stuff like quilting and knitting and camping and Sooners football and Cardinals baseball. But most of all, she luvs her family!
All in all, she’s really prolly the bestest Mema in the whole wide world and we all hope she has the Most Wonderful birthday that ever was!
