Okay, now, put on your serious faces. I’ll give you a second. Okay, you ready? Remember how I told you abouts that hateful B.S. Hell guy in Denver and how he doesn’t like doggies that look like me? (I know…crazy, right? Cuz, well, I think I’m rather Most Adorable.)

Well, you know what I found out? He has all sorts of relatives around the country who don’t like doggies of all kinds! Sheesh! I mean, what did me or you pawsonally ever do to them? Okay, I might pee on one or two of my neighbors’ flowers every now and then but really, I’m just doin’ those flowers a favor.
Anyways, I founds a list (that you can see below) from United Responsible Dog Owner Groups and it has 75 kinds of doggies that have been restricted or banned – BANNED! – from different places in the U.S. And right away, I saw lots of my furends on there – like Gunther and Betty and Stella and Brutus and Khyra and the OP Pack and Lola and even Maggie and Mitch and Mango and my boyfurend, Booker Man! (No Puddles, though, if you can believes it. Weird.)
The Smush Face Mafia. Be afraid. Be very afraid!
And that’s not all of my furends who are on this list. Start looking cuz I bets you’ll be surprised.
And then after you look, would you do me a HUGE favor – if you haven’t already – and make your postcard for the Stop BSL in Denver Campaign? And then if you feel like it, could you tell your furends and family about it? The deadline is in September so there’s not just tons of time left and we need to let that B.S. Hell guy know that it’s not okay to judge us by the covers on our books. Um, or something like that.

PeeS. I’m sure you’ve heard of sweet Shelby who was so terribly hurt and abused by peoples. She’s a Most Perfect example of how there’s lots of doggies who can be sweet and trusting and luving no matter who’s in their family tree or how they were treated in the past. Mona and her mommy have set up a PayPal account now for Shelby’s V.E.T. bills. So if you can spare a few green papers (or even just a couple words of encouragements), I know they’d appreciate it LOTS!

I knew we were on a lot of those lists, but there are breeds there that truly amaze me. Golden Retriever? The Mr/Ms Congeniality of the doggy world? Labs? Pugs? If you’re feeling threatened by Pugs you have got a problem. Unless they took that movie kind of seriously and think that Pugs are all space aliens, which they are not. What’s next? Chiweenies? We will certainly make a postcard for the campaign. This is just ridiculous, but in a most horrible way.
Oh, about my brother. Mayzie is a beautiful name but it is a name for a beautiful girl. “Lou” has some unfortunate associations in our family which kind of eliminate it as a possibility. Whatever his official name is, we’re probably going to end up calling him Brookzie anyway.

Oh Miss Mayzie this post made us feel so sad đŸ˜¦ . We had no idea that this list was so long – seriously, what is the matter with some of these humans?! We are absolutely stunned!! And bearing in mind that the list seems to include almost EVERYPUP in the WORLD we’re actually a little offended NOT to be on it!! And we say that JUST to prove how DUMB the whole thing is! Sigh – the world makes no sense sometimes.
We did a postcard already but we sure hope many others also do this too. You’re doing a good thing Miss Mayzie – let’s stomp out this ‘BSL’ within the doggie world!

This post makes me feel sick. Well, Pee Pee in a boa makes me BOL but the rest makes me sick. But you know that already. I’ve sent my postcard and will have mom get some of her work friends to do it too. I’m half on the list but I know it’s hurtful – we’ve been turned away from a place because of my GSD looks. Can you belives that?!? And Ginger was always mistaken for a Pit Bull… even though she was a tiny Shar Pei. Two leggers are crazy sometimes.

We are all for legislation but on the owners… not the dogs. We know someone that owns a Bichon that would sooner rip your throat out than look at you IF you get too close to her owner. Who’s fault is that? Certainly not the dog’s…

Halle is shocked to see so many of her friends on the list, including her boyfriend, Guero. Guero’s mom is caring for the lovely Shelby and we have sent some green papers to help with Shelby’s care. YIKES! All of us are on dat list! B.S. Hell SUCKS!
No surprise that we are on that list too – our humans had trouble getting homeowners insurance when they decided to change carriers. We had to get letters from our vets and obedience trainers and some nice neighbors and then have a home visit before we got one to do it. Of course, you what nasty dogs we are, we might just kill somebody with our kisses:)

Wow. One of my dogs (rescue dog) is a pittie crossed with a blue heeler (or something), we think. I’m glad we’re in British Columbia, Canada (although Ontario has a bunch of ridiculous BSL laws too)!

My Momma says to tell you she sent her postcard by snail mail after fyour last post about this, she peemailed someone running it and asked if they thought a snail mail postcard from the UK would be better than an emaily type one and the lady said yes so she sent one.

I am shocked at the banned list. We know Monty who is a Springer Spaniel and he is the gentlest funliest dowg ever. AND we know lots of dogs on the list that are just too wonderful to know. An American Bull Dog called Brandy who bounces over with love and cheeriness and labradors who love us to bits – especially Cookie Mudpuddle.
Sam and Pippen made a good point (about 18 posts further up) – it is the OWNERS – not the dogs who make a dog behave badly.

Not only are the dogs on that list persecuted by BSL, but there are also some insurance companies that are trying to force people not to have certain breeds of dogs by refusing to insure them if they have certain breeds of dogs in their house. It’s crazy!

Lists like this are insane… A breed name doesn’t make a dog good or bad! We didn’t see any chihuahuas on there and we’ve known of more people bitten by those little things than any others! We wouldn’t want them on the lists… We’ve got two for cousins!
