Lookee what we got!

Okay, okay…I know some of you are saying…big woof, Mayzie, we’ve gotten a million trillion hundred feet of that stuff this year. But the thing is, here in Collie-rado, we’ve only gotten a coupla inches. Just day after day of boring ol’ sunshine. So this is quite the Most Momentous Occasion.

Last night, Ranger and I ran around and played chase in it for the longest time. Ohmidogness! It was so much fun. Of course, mom didn’t have the flashy beast with her then. (What good is a flashy beast if you can’t catch Ranger being goofy?) And this morning when she finally DID get the flashy beast out, he was all, “Meh…who wants to play chase with my little sister?”

But we did go right out and check the trees for Evil Squirrel Invaders. We thought maybe some of ’em had gotten so cold in the night that they would be more slow this morning.

Come on down. We won't hurt you. We promise!

No luck.

But you can never be too careful. Always look back at least once to make doubley and tripley sure!

Here’s me checking around Cousin It. My dad named Cousin It after some tv show he watched when he was a little boy about 150 years ago.

All clear of Evil Squirrel Invaders over here!

Haha! See these flags?

Dad put ’em there cuz me and Brudder Ranger luvs to chase each other around Cousin It so much that we wore a bare space in the ground. Kinda like our own personal race track. He thought that the flags would discourage us from doing that. Well, it kinda just made it more fun. Dad’s so cute with his ideas and stuff.

And here’s a picture of the view of our very own mountain from our bedroom window. Okay, it usually has snow on it this time of year but since this post is about snow, I thought it was Most Appropriate.

Hope you have a Most Terrific weekend and that you gets whatever kinda weather makes you the wiggliest!

Everywhere I look in blog land today I am seeing snow! We have all our windows open for the first time since the fall and the heat is shut off. Oh dear. I hope that it does not snow here too.

Those flags are too funny. What was he thinking?

  3. We were so upset about the snow this morning, the pooches had a really wet winter walk. What an amazing view. I wish we had a mountain.

  4. You are so lucky, Mayzie! We wish we’d get snow too but don’t tell our mom that we said that because she only wants to see colorful flowers – no more boring white snow!

    Love ya lots

  7. No more snow – pleeeeeeeezuhhh! I beg of you. I finally opened the windows and got to play in the yard (albeit to clean up from last week’s wind and rainstorm). But it felt so good! But if you’re having fun and not hurting Cousin It, I suppose it’s okay!

  10. Wow! Your dad is old! The Cousin It made Mom giggle, though. She said she wasn’t born when that show was on, but she’s seen reruns.

We’re glad you’re enjoying the snow! We got yucky rain here this weekend, but we’re making the best of it.

  15. Hello Mayzie! This my first time visiting your blog. We have a lot in common. I was a rescue and have been living with my humans since April of last year.

I love snow! We had so much this year. I’ve never seen so much of it before. All gone now, I think. Anyway, I look forward to reading back on your blog a bit and learning more about you.
